Duties and Responsibilities:
The right candidate will provide trauma informed comprehensive crisis interventions services. Provides community support services to clients in a manner to ensure linkage and access to necessary resources and services. Promote the individual’s active participation in decision making and self-advocacy in all aspects of services and recovery. Participate in mandated training of Applied suicide Intervention Services Training (ASIST). Provide training to utilize recovery and resilience activities to help the individual develop and identify strengths and barriers to recovery/resiliency. Provide initial crisis counseling via phone and linkage to appropriate crisis program. Assist in developing strategies and supportive interventions for achieving placement in the least restrictive setting.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from an accredited four-year college or university in clinical psychology, counseling or social work. Must meet eligibility requirements as a Mental Health Professional as defined in Illinois Medicaid Rule 132.
